as initiator of "aesthetica nova" he has pioneered the field ofimprovisation within classical music) and continues to invest himselffor a new understanding of music within classical music

his work polarises the classical music community ( but also the jazzcommunity ) again and again through his lose approach to writtenmaterial ( intention of reviving the art of improvisation in classicalmusic which was common in the days of Bach and Mozart ), creating afusion of jazz, classical, and world music; and using “soundaesthetics” as a means of musical expression
for his Mozart Projectdesigned a structure which anchors a hi-end guitar, thus improving theplayer’s freedom of movement and making a more sensitive and morevirtuoso way of playing possible ( CD “renato rozic: mozart” )

Razgovori

Dakle sve u jednom - u istoj stvari i groove i estetiku zvuka i polifoniju...”

Oživljavanje umjetnosti improvizacije u klasičnoj glazbi

Uzimam Bachove i Mozartove teme i improviziram ih kako su me učili, ikako su sami činili, stari i novi majstori improvizacije: Bach, Mozart,Debussy, Davis, Coltrane, Parker, Jarrett.

Bach, Mozart i jazz

Sviramo standarde iz jednostavnog razloga jer je ta harmonija slična klasičnoj harmoniji, a ja pokušavam estetski sklopiti, uklopiti tu harmoniju, linearnost, kompleksnost klasične glazbe i estetiku u jazz. U jazzu postoji ljepota ritmike, improvizacije. Iz klasike sam uzeo estetiku, klasičnu naobrazbu, kvalitetu tona, artikulaciju.
